Eye Turns or Strabismus
Eye Turns or Strabismus

Eye turns (strabismus) in children can have multiple repercussions. There are a number of functional problems that kids can have with strabismus (eye turns). If one eye turns regularly, the vision may not develop properly in that eye; if a turn is always present, depth perception will not develop. Another important, but often overlooked, negative effect from strabismus has to do with the social impacts that an eye turn has on children stated Oren L. Weisberg, M.D., Pediatric Ophthalmologist at DAmbrosio Eye Care.
Dr. Weisberg continued, A recent article reinforces our understanding of this. In the study, pictures of children were digitally altered to give them an exotropia (an eye turn outward). A group of children aged 8-12 years then looked at the pictures and were asked to rate their willingness to sit next to such kids compared to pictures of kids without eye turns. Kids of all age groups studied were less willing to sit next to a child with exotropia. Other studies have also shown that strabismus can negatively affect kids in social situations.
There are treatments available for patients with strabismus. This can include eyeglasses, patching, eye drops and sometimes surgery. If any turns are noted a complete eye exam by a provider who has experience working with children is important. During that visit all options for treatment can be reviewed.
If you feel your child has an eye turn, please call 800-325-3937 to schedule an appointment. You may also request an appointment at facebook.com/dambrosioeyecare.

No Brainer Palette for a New Mom or anyone really
No Brainer Palette for a New Mom or anyone really
After I had Shepherd, I had a lot of days where I just didnt get ready. I was tired, struggling with pumping and healing from surgery. There were lots of sleepless nights and lots of yoga pants. Showers were scheduled when grandparents and siblings would stop by. Sometimes (I wont lie) there were a few days that passed before I had a moment to actually shower.
There is nothing wrong with this. I think all women need to cocoon themselves with their new babies for bonding. When you are just lounging around doing skin to skin, you arent getting dirty. As long as you are brushing your teeth and washing your face you are pretty much golden.
One thing I didnt want to do after I had kids was stop getting ready altogether. Weve all seen it time and time again. New moms stop dressing up, stop putting on make-up, stop curling their hair. Obviously, Im not going to judge you if you decide to put your efforts elsewhere. That is your prerogative and there is nothing wrong with choosing to spend your "free" time watching a guilty pleasure show or hitting the gym rather than puttin on your face, especially when you just wash it all off at the end of the night.
Personally, I would feel better when I was more put together. Even now, if I wake up late or just dont feel good and I skip make up for the day, I feel blah all day long. When I take the time just to put a little effort into my face I feel fresher and ready to tackle life. I dont know why, but I do!
Im writing this for the woman that wants a low maintenance, easy routine where they dont have a vanity full of thousands of products, they can get ready fast and feel good (and possibly a little bit more human) like I am/was. I slid was in there because I work outside of the home, so I have to put more effort into my appearance and it helps me feel all business-y at work (I hate getting caught in a surprise meeting when I have no make-up on!) but even still, I try to pick and choose what my make-up necessities are and balance my efforts so that I dont spend a ton time on my face every morning. Although honestly, I am spending more time than ever before because I am into make-up so its actually fun to do.
When I first had Shepherd, I would use a light foundation or tinted moisturizer, concealer under the eyes and on any blemishes, some blush for some glow, and mascara. If I was feeling really ambitious, I would put a little light eye shadow in the corner of my eyes to look more awake. Top with a baby-friendly chapstick (cause of all those kisses, of course!) and Id be set.
That was the bare essentials. It would always make me feel a thousand times better and I liked the idea of Bryan coming home to a fresh faced lady, instead of a torn up one. :)
I know many of you may not be into make-up. Maybe you just have your few staples and they are from the drugstore and they get you by. I happen to love drugstore make-up and there are tons of good products that I use from there. However, if I was going to tell you to invest in one product that would last a long time, be ridiculously versatile, is high quality and would suit anyone? It would be the Lorac Pro palette.

I mentioned this in the haul a while ago, and I have seriously put it to the test. This palette is $42. It contains eight matte shades and eight shimmer shades, ranging in neutrals with a few pops of color thrown in for good measure.

I tried my hardest to get good pictures with the actual colors but yall know that Im not a super awesome photographer. The light colors got a little blown out. Here is the picture from the Lorac Cosmetics website:

You can see from the pictures above that Ive used pretty much every color in the palette. You can tell from the marks in the shadows where my brush has dipped in. What is great about this palette is that you can easily choose to just put one color over the entire lid for a little pick me up and stop there. Or, you can put a matte shade in your crease just to define your eyes and call it good. You can mix shimmer and matte colors. If you are going out for a date night you can put together an easy smokey eye. This palette complements any eye color and there are hundreds of variations of looks, as simple or complex as youd like. The colors blend really well with minimal work. I seriously love it.

If you just wanted an old faithful palette to have for everyday use without a ton of fuss this is literally the perfect palette.
I wish I had had this when I was a new mom. It would have been a no-brainer. If you are still choking on the $42 price, remember this is high-end make-up. Youll notice the difference from your drugstore stuff when you try it out and you get 16 shadows. That breaks down to $2.62 a pan. Totally affordable. Also, if you wait patiently and sign up for Ulta mailers, you can purchase the palette with one of the coveted 20% coupons that come around every so often - just make sure it doesnt exclude prestige brands.
Along the same rule of thumb with clothes, there are key pieces in the cosmetic world that are worth the splurge, especially if you dont buy products all the time. I think a versatile eye-shadow palette, foundation that matches you in the summer and in the winter and concealer that does the same is worth the higher prices to get colors that show up (ie. are pigmented) and colors that match your skin. Its also worth it to buy brands that arent full of insane chemicals!
There are a ton of high-end brands and it can be overwhelming. If you are a new mom and want to get yourself a little something to make you feel a little more sparkly on an average day or you are a husband and want to gift your honey with something she wouldnt purchase for herself, give this palette a go. I truly believe you wont regret it!

Little He or Little She !
Little He or Little She !
Monday, April 29th is FINALLY here! It was the most wonderful day! I stayed home from school because I wanted to clean our house and have a day to myself...unless my principal is reading this... then I was really, really sick! :) Our house was sparkly clean when I was finished with it! Kason got to leave work a few minutes early because they didnt take a lunch that day and so he came and picked me up for our Dr. Appointment. This was nice because usually we have to meet there after school and work and so we leave with two cars! He got there and I was starting to get VERY nervous! I had already prepared myself in case we got to the Dr. and they werent able to tell us what the gender was. We arrived at the Dr. and the very first thing you do when you get there is go into the Ultra Sound room. She asked if I was stressed or nervous and so I told her about our party that we supposed to be having that night and so we really REALLY wanted to see some baby parts today! It took her about 10 minutes. She had me move around on my side and she moved the baby and then she finally told us what IT was going to be. We were excited! I was a little emotional, but we were excited! It felt good to finally know!
After the Dr. we went to the Dollar Store and picked up our silly string that we were going to use to tell everyone what it was. We had to wait until we knew what color to buy so that was the last errand we needed to run. We went home and I got a few more things ready for the party and then everyone showed up! It was so much fun! I was nervous our little house would be too uncomfortable but I thought it was perfect! My mom was a great help especially by letting us use so many of her cute dishes. The decorations were AMAZINGLY cute! I loved the way it all came together. We had a candy bar with all blue and all pink candies, the drinks were blue and pink, the plates and utensils were blue and pink, EVERYTHING WAS BLUE OR PINK! We had everyone trying to guess but we kept it a secret until we were ready to go outside and reveal the silly string. We had 5 bottles and so Kason, Me, My Mom, My Dad, and Kelli all held one. (Kelton got called into work and so he couldnt make it.) We counted to three and then let the silly string come flying out! It was...BLUE! Our sweet Baby Prisbrey is going to be a BOY! We are thrilled! We cant wait to meet him and see his handsome little face! I told you I was emotional in the Dr. and now you know why! ha ha ha I really secretly had hoped it was a girl... however, the more I realize that this beautiful baby is going to be just like my amazing husband, the more I cant wait to have him join our family!

Non Glare or “AR Coating” Eyeglass Lenses
Non Glare or “AR Coating” Eyeglass Lenses
Non-Glare or AR Coating Eyeglass Lenses are really a high tech way to get the best performance out of your glasses. The foundation of non-glare lenses is a scratch coat layer that can lengthen the life of your lenses and reduce the amount of surface scratches from daily life or cleaning. The lenses are similar to coating found on microscopes or camera lenses. Even the latest equipment used in our practice has non-glare properties. Did you ever wonder why you felt you saw better during your eye examination than with your new glasses? It may be just as simple as the lenses you purchased did not have non-glare coating.
Non-glare lenses consist of several layers of metal oxides applied to the front and back lens surfaces. Because of the layering effect, non-glare lenses sometimes have a hint of green, blue or purple color, depending on the individual manufacturers formula. Each layer is scientifically calculated to block reflected light; they also reduce both internal and external reflection on the lenses themselves, creating a nicer cosmetic appearance. Internal reflections appear as rings that make lenses look thick. Eternal reflections mask your eyes from a clear, complete view when someone is looking at you. So with a non-glare lens, reflections are eliminated and lenses look thinner or non-existent and your eyes are more visible so you can make a better eye contact with others. Not all non-glares are the same and the properties that allow more light to reach the eye or the cleanability vary tremendously.
At DAmbrosio Eye Care our preferred brand is Crizal Avance with Scotchgard Protector. These lenses allow 99% of light to reach the eye, improving contrast sensitivity by 20%. The scratch coat layer is applied to both sides of the lens, where others only apply this layer to the front. There is a hydrophobic surface layer that prevents water spots (rain, snow and fog) and makes the lens very easy to clean. The oleophobic surface layer repels skin oils, smudges, dust, dirt and fingerprints better than leading competitors. These lenses have superior anti-static technology. After 20,000 cleanings this non-glare lens has 98.2% durability, meaning the benefits of the lens do not lessen over the life of the lens, preserving the premium qualities. Other non-glare lenses breakdown over time. Even the value non-glare package at DAmbrosio Eye Care is 80.1% durable.

Guidelines for Travelers Visiting Friends and Family in Areas with Chikungunya Dengue or Zika Travelers Health CDC
Guidelines for Travelers Visiting Friends and Family in Areas with Chikungunya Dengue or Zika Travelers Health CDC
Guidelines for Travelers Visiting Friends and Family in Areas with Chikungunya, Dengue, or Zika | Travelers Health | CDC
Guidelines for Travelers Visiting Friends and Family in Areas with Chikungunya, Dengue, or Zika
Tip: Before your trip, checkwww.CDC.gov/travel for the latest disease updates for the country you are visiting.
When you visit friends and family in areas with chikungunya, dengue, or Zika, you may be at risk of getting those diseases. Visiting friends and family can pose different health needs than other kinds of travel because you might stay longer at your destination, be in places with less protection against mosquitoes (such as houses without screens or air conditioning), or be in a familiar place where you might not take as many precautions to say healthy. Protect yourself and your family by knowing the facts.
Prevent Mosquito Bites
If chikungunya, dengue, or Zika is spreading in the country youre visiting, you and your family are at risk of getting sick from mosquito bites when you visit. Follow these steps to prevent mosquito bites:
- Cover exposed skin by wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants.
- Use insect repellents that are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and contain DEET, picaridin, IR3535, oil of lemon eucalyptus (OLE), or para-menthane-diol. Always use as directed.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women can use all EPA-registered insect repellents, including DEET, according to the product label.
- Most repellents, including DEET, can be used on children older than 2 months of age. To apply, adults should spray insect repellent onto hands and then apply to a childs face.
- If it might be difficult to find recommended repellent at your destination. Pack enough to last the entire trip.
- Use permethrin-treated clothing and gear (boots, pants, socks, tents). You can buy pre-treated items or treat them yourself.*
- Stay and sleep in screened-in and air-conditioned rooms whenever possible.
- Sleep under a mosquito bed net if air conditioned or screened rooms are not available or if sleeping outdoors.
- Mosquito netting can be used to cover babies younger than 2 months old in carriers, strollers, or cribs to protect them from mosquito bites.
*Permethrin is not effective in Puerto Rico.
What is chikungunya?
Chikungunya is a disease caused by a virus spread through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of chikungunya are fever and joint pain. Other symptoms may include headache, muscle pain, joint swelling, or rash. Chikungunya disease rarely results in death, but the symptoms can be severe and disabling. Most people who get sick feel better within a week. In some people, the joint pain may last for months or years.
What is dengue?
Dengue is a disease caused by a virus that is spread through mosquito bites. Symptoms include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, rash, and pain in the eyes, joints, and muscles. After you are bitten by an infected mosquito, symptoms can take up to 2 weeks to develop but usually end in a week. In severe cases, symptoms may include intense stomach pain, repeated vomiting, bleeding from the nose or gums, and death.
What is Zika?
Zika is a disease caused by a virus that is primarily spread to people through the bite of an infected mosquito. Most people who get infected never have symptoms. In people who get sick, symptoms (fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes) are usually mild and resolve completely.
Zika can cause serious birth defects in babies born to women who were infected with Zika during pregnancy. Zika has also been linked to Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare disorder that can cause muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis. Most people fully recover from GBS, but some have permanent damage and, in some cases, people have died.
Zika can also spread when a man who has Zika has sex with female or male sex partners. A man can pass Zika to his partners even if he does not have symptoms at the time, or if his symptoms have gone away. We do not know how long a man who has had Zika can pass it on to his partners from sex.
The mosquitoes that spread Zika usually do not live at elevations above 6,500 feet (2,000 meters). People who live in or visit areas above this elevation are at a very low risk of getting Zika from a mosquito unless they visit or travel through areas of lower elevation. Because there is no vaccine or treatment for Zika, people visiting areas with Zika should take steps to prevent infection.
Pregnant Women and Zika
Zika virus can pass from a pregnant woman to her fetus and can cause a serious birth defect of the brain called microcephaly in babies of women who had Zika virus while pregnant. Babies with microcephaly often have smaller brains that might not have developed properly. Other problems, such as eye defects, hearing loss, and impaired growth, have been detected among fetuses and infants infected with Zika virus before birth.
Pregnant women should not travel to any area with Zika. If you must travel to one of these areas, talk to your doctor or other healthcare provider first and strictly follow steps to prevent mosquito bites and practice safe sex during your trip.
For more information about pregnancy and Zika, visit http://www.cdc.gov/zika/pregnancy/.
Practice Safe Sex for Zika prevention
Condoms can reduce the chance of getting Zika from sex. To be effective, condoms must be used correctly from start to finish, every time during vaginal, and oral sex. A man can pass Zika to his partners even if he does not have symptoms at the time, or if his symptoms have gone away. Not having sex can eliminate the risk of getting Zika from sex.
- Men with pregnant partners should use condoms every time during sex or not have sex during the pregnancy.
- All pregnant women with male sex partners who live in or have traveled to an area with Zika should use condoms or not have sex during their pregnancy, even if their partners do not have Zika symptoms or if their symptoms have gone away.
- All men who live in or have traveled to an area with Zika should consider using condoms to protect their sex partners.
For more information about Zika and sexual transmission, visit http://www.cdc.gov/zika/transmission/sexual-transmission.html.
Zika Testing For Pregnant Women
- All pregnant women who have visited areas with Zika should receive routine prenatal care, including an ultrasound at 1820 weeks.
- Pregnant women who have symptoms of Zika (fever, rash, joint pain, red eyes) and have visited areas with Zika should be tested as soon as symptoms start.
- Pregnant women who do not have symptoms and have visited an area with Zika should be tested at the start of prenatal care, and again halfway through the second trimester (18-20 weeks).
- Pregnant women with possible exposure to Zika virus from sex should be tested if either they or their male partners develop symptoms of Zika.
Discuss Pregnancy Planning with Healthcare Provider
Women and their partners should discuss pregnancy planning with a doctor or healthcare provider. Women who want to get pregnant should talk with their healthcare provider about their goals for having children. They should also talk with their healthcare provider about the potential risk of Zika virus infection during pregnancy as well as their male partners potential exposures to Zika virus. As part of counseling with healthcare providers, some women and their partners who have visited an area with Zika might decide to delay pregnancy. CDC has guidance to help doctors counsel women who have visited an area with Zika who want to get pregnant. The recommended times to wait before trying to get pregnant after visiting an area with Zika, based on whether either partner has had symptoms, are described below:
How Long to Wait Before Trying to Have a Baby After Visiting an Area with Zika | ||
|---|---|---|
Women | Men | |
Zika symptoms | At least 8 weeks after symptoms start | At least 6 months after symptoms start |
No Zika symptoms | At least 8 weeks after return from visit | At least 8 weeks after return from visit |
Women who are at risk of Zika and do not want to get pregnant should talk with their doctor or other healthcare provider about ways to prevent unintended pregnancy, including birth control methods. Women should consider safety, effectiveness, availability, and acceptability when choosing a birth control method.
Women who become pregnant within 8 weeks after visiting an area with Zika should talk with their doctor:
- CDC recommends testing at the first prenatal visit and a second test in the second trimester.
- If you have been exposed to Zika and have symptoms (fever, rash, joint pain, or red eyes) at any time during your pregnancy, you should be tested for Zika. A healthcare provider may also test for similar diseases, like dengue or chikungunya.
- CDC has guidance to help doctors decide what tests are needed for pregnant women who may have been exposed to Zika.

Boston Doctor on Double Vision or Diplopia
Boston Doctor on Double Vision or Diplopia
Boston eye doctor Francis A. DAmbrosio Jr., M.D. comments on double vision. Double vision, which we also refer to as diplopia, generally results from either a misalignment of your eyes or a structural problem with the part or parts of the eye that let light into it, noted There are two types of double vision. The first type is called binocular diplopia. The second type is referred to as monocular diplopia. Monocular diplopia can be differentiated from binocular diplopia by a simple test. If the double vision stops when you cover one eye, then you are suffering from binocular diplopia. If the double vision persists even with one eye covered, that means you are experiencing monocular diplopia.
There are many different causes for diplopia. The problem can arise from the eyes themselves, the surrounding orbit, or the central nervous system. Causes of double vision include corneal infections or scars, cataract, eye muscle weakness from thyroid problems, nerve damage from diabetes or multiple sclerosis, autoimmune disease such as myasthenia gravis, brain tumors or aneurysms, strokes, head trauma, orbital trauma, direct eye trauma and even migraine headaches.
Double vision can occur by itself with no other symptoms. However, depending on the cause other symptoms may be present with diplopia that can include:
- Droopy Eyelids
- Pain with Eye Movements
- Headache
- Nausea
- Misalignment of one or both eyes causing a "wandering eye" or "cross-eyed" appearance
- Weakness of the other muscles in your body
If you or someone you know experiences double vision, it is important to schedule an appointment for an examination. Please feel free to call DAmbrosio Eye Care at 800-325-3937 to schedule an appointment. You may also request an appointment at facebook.com/dambrosioeyecare.

Having a young alerting dog isnt always pretty or I screwed up again!
Having a young alerting dog isnt always pretty or I screwed up again!
When I think about my dogs alerting, I am still amazed at and very grateful for their abilities and willingness to share with me. Admittedly, much of it is still a mystery to me - I dont know how they know before Im going to have a medical problem and I have no idea why Laurel decided to share that information with me or how she taught Hardy.
However, after tracking Laurels alerting in her training journal for the past four years, I am absolutely certain that it is predictive and accurate. We have her response on video and now people who know us recognize her alerts when they occur. And although Hardy hasnt had that many opportunities to alert on his own (when Laurel wasnt with us); he has stepped up 9 times and has also proven to be correct and predictive.
In fact, since Laurel started alerting, there have only been 2 times when Laurel or Hardy has been with me and failed to alert 45 minutes to an hour prior to me going into spasm. Both of them occurred when I fell and immediately starting spasming as a result. Likewise, Ive only had one rheumatoid attack in my chest wall that one of my Labs didnt do an early alert for - I ran into the corner of our entertainment center and immediately felt the pain.
The diabetes alert is very different. Although I taught Laurel to alert using a specific toy that she only brings to me when alerting, if she cant find the toy easily, she reverts to licking me around my mouth. This is the only alert I feel confident I can teach Hardy and because my blood sugar has been well regulated recently, Laurel has only alerted at night (by waking me up) while Hardy is in his crate.
I have never had the opportunity to talk to anyone else who has a dog that alerts to any of the three things my dogs do. And although I have read articles about diabetes alert dogs, I havent ever seen anything about dogs alerting to muscle spasms or rheumatoid in the chest wall. Ive heard that there are other dogs alerting to spasms but because rheumatoid in the chest wall is pretty rare, Im guessing there arent many (if any) other dogs alerting to that. As a result, I sometimes run into things that I dont know how to handle and/or I havent anticipated. I am very grateful that I have our service dog trainer, Sue Alexander, and her extensive knowledge of all things dog as well as her creativity to call on but it sure would be nice to have some books and/or articles out there!
Last night, I ran into a problem with Hardy alerting that I hadnt anticipated and as a result, didnt know how to handle. I took him with me to my Levels class as a demo dog. When I was done with him, I put him in one of the crates inside the hall. About five minutes later, Hardy started crying and after several minutes, I realized he might be alerting. I went over to confirm it and sure enough, he was letting me know I was going to start having muscle spasms (something that has been happening quite a bit lately, probably due to stress and the extremely cold weather). I let him watch me take my meds and he settled back down. About 30 minutes later, (45 minutes after he alerted), he started crying again. I asked someone to treat him for being quiet, which only worked for a minute or two. At the same time, I realized that I was going into spasm; probably the reason he was upset and yelling at me. Normally, my dogs are able to be with me after they alert and I start having the medical problem. This summer, Laurel struggled with not always being with me under those circumstances too. Last night, because I knew we didnt want Hardy to think that he had to be with me and that we wanted him to think his responsibility was done once he alerted, I left him in the crate and covered it. Im sure Ive mentioned once or twice that one of the things we selected him for was his persistence and last night, we had the opportunity to see (and hear) that in action! By the time I took him out to go home, he was pretty distraught and since then, I have been feeling awful!
I talked to Sue and she suggested that I use this time filled with muscle spasms as a training opportunity. We do want the Labs to think that their responsibility ends once they alert me, no matter what happens afterward and for them to be okay with not always being able to be with me once they have alerted. So the plan is to use Manners Minders (the food dispensing machines) in their crates. After they alert and they see me take my medications, instead of letting them be with me (even if were at home), Ill put them in their crates with Manners Minders and treat them on a heavy reinforcement schedule. This just means that Ill have to have the machines with me when I take the Labs to the training hall.
You would hope that I could learn to not go against my instincts when I dont know what to do because I end up regretting it! Thats what happened last night. I didnt think letting Hardy get more and more upset was the way to go but I didnt know what to do so I handled it badly. Besides not wanting him to be so upset, I also dont want him to think Im ignoring his alerts. On the other hand, I also want him and Laurel to be okay when they cant be with me after they alert.

Why NOT to Buy Eyewear or Glasses Online
Why NOT to Buy Eyewear or Glasses Online
Did you know that in Massachusetts the state regulates that eyewear is a medical device and by law it is required to be fit and dispensed (provided) by a qualified licensed Optician or a registered apprentice? On-line businesses do not follow this regulation, however they are permitted to provide eyewear because they are based outside of state and/or country lines. Your Optometrist or Ophthalmologist is required to provide you the needed binocular pupillary measurement, know as your PD. However, this is a generic measurement that may not result in a pair of eyewear with optimal visual performance, especially if you wear progressive (no-line) lenses or have a difficult prescription.
At DAmbrosio Eye Care there are several measurements and considerations when customizing a pair of eyewear that includes a monocular pupillary or visual center measurement (VCP), your visual needs, prescription, lens type, frame style, wrap angle, vertex distance, pantoscopic tilt, base curve, head and facial features, the intended use for your eyewear and previous eyewear worn. When fitting eyewear we also make precision adjustments so you are looking through the optical center of the lens. Our Opticians also want your frame to fit properly so they do not slip on your nose, pinch the sides of your head, leave red marks or cause discomfort behind your ears or on your nose. Any of these concerns may cause headaches and/or decreased vision. The human face is not symmetrical left to right so using only your binocular PD will not place the pupils in the visual center of the lens and possibly cause distortion, unwanted prism and headaches. Taking this measurement yourself- as some online stores request you do is tricky-somewhat akin to trying to cut your own hair.
We did our own research on an online competitor and found that once you purchase your eyewear that you choose without a licensed professional - you have only 10 days to contact them if something isnt right and, if you are provided a warranty within that timeframe, you have to pay a restocking fee. So when something does go wrong or you need an adjustment they are not going to help you. DAmbrosio Eye Care offers a no-fee 1-year warranty and we adjust your eyewear at no cost for the life of your purchase, when you purchase with us. Because to us you are our patient, to them only a customer.
Please stop by any of our optical departments or contact DAmbrosio Eye Care at 800-325-3937 for more information.

Trick Or Treat Me On Twitter
Trick Or Treat Me On Twitter
As a mother, I value the importance of nutrition. I believe that good nutrition should start early. Teaching kids about the significance of good nutrition will help reinforce lifelong eating healthy eating habits.
Now that Halloween is just around the corner, kids are more exposed to sweets and junk food. Although Halloween is a fun activity, some parents worry about their childrens health during this time. Eating too many candies and junk food can have its negative effect on children. It is best to monitor your child during Trick or Treat. Its great to see children having a wonderful time but good nutrition should be compromised.
I encountered an online campaign that stresses good nutrition for children even during Halloween. Trick Or Treat Me blog opens the eyes of parents about the importance of good nutrition at all times. Parents will be delighted to know that they can still maintain healthy living and at the same time have fun on Halloween.
An example of a nice and healthy treat for kids this Halloween is milk in shelf stable Tetra Pak carton. Kids will appreciate a yummy drink on-the-go and parents will be assured that kids will have more calcium in their diet. Its like hitting two birds with one stone. Its definitely a win-win situation. In line with this is the new milk box campaign. Trusted brands like Hersheys and Organic Valley encourages you to spread the word about milk in single serve, shelf stable cartons through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Enjoy sending a Halloween tweet to someone. Take note that when you Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter, you are also making a 10¢ donation to World Wildlife Fund. You can choose whether to trick or treat your friends on Twitter. I just sent a couple of treat tweets to my friends. Go ahead and give it a try too.
