Definitely goodbye football club
Matthew was persuaded to rejoin football club last week, as his friend Ethan was interested and started going. This week, although he was happy to go, he found it too intimidating and threw away his jersey before the game and ran off the pitch crying, refusing to go back. So he has now definitely quit.
Louise spoke to one of the organisers, who didnt seem to mind. She thinks the problem might be that there are now 28 boys going, many more than the 10 or so that Matthew had in his group last year. He is also now playing outside, and doesnt like getting muddy. He doesnt like the physical aspect of the game, and hates the idea of tackling.
At least he is still going to swimming lessons - hopefully that will continue!
