St Davids Day homework
Matthew came home last week with a whole load of homework for St Davids Day. Frustratingly it wasnt a great week to do it (I was working at the weekend) and I wish the teacher had given it to him earlier so we could have had a crack at some of it over the half term break.
Firstly, Matthew had to copy out a short verse in Welsh in his own handwriting. He did this very well and actually won this part of the competition:
Secondly, Matthew had to draw a daffodil:
Finally, he also had to dress up a leek. We had to help him with this - I made the jacket and cut up the trousers. Louise helped Matthew paint the hair, although Matthew did do the painting himself, and drew the mouth. Matthew also chose the eyes to stick on. In the end, it wasnt a bad attempt and although he didnt win the competition, Louise told me that there were less impressive entries!

St Patricks Day Happy Birthday to my Mom!!
Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!!! Today is Hudsons 1st St Patricks Day! We spent the day with some of Timmys family that came to visit. Hudson had a few St. Patricks Day outfits, 3 to be exact. We didnt get a picture in one because of a blow out ( which we have very often). Brody had a shirt and since all he wants to wear are jerseys and his Uncle Titus under armour ( 10 sizes too big) is was a fight to get him to wear his shirt for a little bit for pictures, but I got them:)
Today is also My wonderul Mamas Birthday!!! Happy Birthday Mom!! She is in Gatlinburg celebrating so we will celebrate with her once she gets home!!

Happy Birthday John thanks for going to St Georges Square with Hardy and me to celebrate!
Happy birthday, John, and thanks for going to St Georges Square with me and Hardy to celebrate by doing a little socialization! We took Hardy to the center of Guelph where there are usually many people walking around, buses and cars going by etc. We parked down the street from the square and Hardy walked next to my power chair the entire way. We stopped and asked people if they would help us train our puppy and everyone was more than willing. One woman spoke to him in French. I have no idea what she said but he absolutely adored it! We stopped by some tables and sat near all the buses that came in to pick up and drop off people. After a short stay, we headed back to the van ... again, Hardy walked the entire way. My only concern related to the trip was the number of cigarette butts on the ground and Hardys interest in them. We had a talk about the dangers of smoking or eating cigarette butts and will continue to work on automatic leave it and floor Zen. Again, thanks and happy birthday, John!

Here is the article! It was posted this morning. I have been checking it every day and today it was the first thing that popped up! I realize its not that big of a deal, but to me it is! It shows so many people how perfect our day was, how handsome my groom is, and how beautiful the hard work that went into it was!
Things worth mentioning:
Natalie Anderson made our cake! There are no words to describe how perfect it was!
Andi Watkins took our pictures that we love so much!
My mom had so much help with the desserts and set up that night. Bob and Jocelyn Bunker, Shaquel Cannon, Teddi Grajeck, Laurie Andrus and whoever else I didnt get to see or thank! Thank-you!
Jocelyn videoed the whole day for us! (well minus the fathers toasts..ha ha but were slowly forgiving her)
My Uncle Slade and Bob were there way before it started and way after it ended and helped my dad so much!
Kasons family did so much too! Kelli and Kathy made lots of cookies that were out that night!
My Grandma VeeAnn saved the day getting all the things we forgot at literally the last seconds!
My Grandpa Jack let us borrow his fabulous old car which made for some great pictures!
Natilyn and Josh were so sweet to give so much time and effort to making everything so perfect.
And again, my mom and dad.. They created this entire fairy tale evening!
Thank you to everyone! It meant so much!

I dont know if 35 is really an official milestone birthday, but it kinda feels like one. Mid thirties. Ho-ly crap - where did the time go?
I have always appreciated my birthday because celebrating it was always a full on family affair - complete with St Pattys Day t-shirts and green hair. Wow.
A full family photo was just not in the cards this year and while I was disappointed about that, I will choose to instead focus on these cute pics I did get. My taste in St Patricks Day attire has improved remarkably. Dont you agree? Lily is actually wearing an adult tank top as a halter dress - super cute, right?

I was reminiscing about my 25th birthday this past week and how differently I celebrated back then. Several of my friends also have March birthdays so in true 25-year-old fashion, we threw "March Madness Birthday Bash" to celebrate. I dont remember many specifics - but I do know there was drinking, dancing and pretty sure a cake fight happened. Ahh, to be young and uncaring about chocolate cake ground into the carpet. I tried finding the pictures from this party but came up totally empty handed on that one.
Instead I found some other gems.
Here are the shots I did on my 21st birthday including the time of day and with a signature. Its really not all that impressive of a list. I think I was just beginning on my journey to improve my ability to drink like a fish.

I think these are from my 26th birthday. Celebrated in Bloomington.
And heres my 27th birthday - Chicago style. It was on this birthday trip that a drunk dial may have occurred in the middle of the night from one outrageously hammered girl to one outrageously handsome guy, forever changing both of their lives... good things come from green beer, my friends.
And last night, Joel surprised me with a babysitter and I had my first green beer in 5 years. Well, I had about 4 sips of said green beer and then decided that it pretty much tasted like sh*t and wasnt worth the WW points or the FXB carbs and promptly switched to water. Told you times have changed....
Oh and a little fun fact! The booth we are sitting in at 4th Street is the same booth we sat in on one of our very first "dates" after the aforementioned middle of the night propositioning that occurred back in 2007. Awwwww, how sweet.
