Week 27

Week 27

Week 27:
  • This week Wrekker is almost 15 inches long and over two pounds. Our baby book says that this is the week that his brain waves start making more connections and allow him to dream while he is sleeping. Isnt that crazy that they are able to tell that stuff? I mean what would he possibly be dreaming about? I hope I am a lot prettier in his dreams because Kason teased me the other day that I was being fake with these Chalkboards and we should start getting real and taking them in my PJs and un-showered hair...I guess he is implying that that must be what I really look like to him.
  • Thursday, we got to leave for Lake Mead! I seriously thought I might go crazy sitting at home all day until 2:30 when Kason got off. I literally had the car running when he got home and everything laid out for his shower so he could just be so fast! I probably drove him nuts! It was a long drive because we had to dock at Calville Bay because both Overton Beach and Echo Bay are closed for houseboats because the lake is so low. It took us almost 2.5 hours to get there but boy was I excited to see that blue lake! Ever since I was a little girl we have gone on a houseboat trip almost every summer and it has been almost 2 years since our last one so I was itchin for some lake time! This pregnant belly got us a free stay in a bed inside the houseboat which was amazing because we have never slept anywhere but outside in the +100 degree middle of the night weather. We spent the weekend riding jet skis and they even took Kason and I on the tube on a very slow leisurely ride. It was different being pregnant because I felt like I couldnt really do anything but everyone was so sweet about it and Kason was so cautious and kind with every move I made. I sure love that handsome boy! Saturday, we played most of the day and cleaned the houseboat on our way into the dock. We unloaded and of course stopped for ice cream at the Inside Scoop in Overton. It is tradition to stop there and have the yummiest ice cream ever, especially after unloading the houseboat on a hot, hot afternoon!
  • We have been loving Kasons jeep. I make him take me for a ride almost every night in it. It is so relaxing and so much fun to be with him in it. He is a little too adventurous for me and just because the jeep can off road...doesnt mean it should ha ha ha.
  • I spent the rest of this week deep cleaning our house. I seriously cleaned and organized every room, closet, cupboard, drawer.. you get the idea! It looks amazing! I finished decorating a few of the rooms in our house and we are baby ready! I even text my mom when I was done this week and told her I was packing my hospital back because it was the last thing I had to do before he came and I wanted it off my to-do list! ha ha ha (you laugh...but it is really packed!)
  • On Wednesday, my mom came up and helped me make Wrekkers crib bedding. It looks adorable and she is so amazing! We had it whipped out in like less than two hours! He is one lucky dude to have such an awesome grandma! His nursery is pretty much finished now and if I must say so myself...it is probably the cutest nursery around! :) I hope we love our other children as much as this guy ha ha ha (joking)
