Easter cards |
In addition to the shop-bought cards I purchased for our family this Easter, Matthew decided to make his own hand-drawn cards. He drew different pictures on four cards, one each for Gramps, Grandma & Grandad, Granny and Auntie Hilary (who is staying with my parents for the week). Matthew was very creative with his designs, although his drawing only covered a small section of the card. He drew (from left to right), an easter egg for Granny, a chick hatching for Grandma & Grandad, Jesus on the cross for Auntie Hilary, and the tomb which Jesus was buried in for Gramps! We had to throw one card away - he drew a picture of Jesus vomiting, and "doing a wee and a poo", which we explained was not appropriate to send out.

New trampoline |
Matthews Easter present this year was a new trampoline, which he finally got to use today after a great deal of effort putting together (it was delivered flat packed). Louise and I spent all of Saturday afternoon, some of yesterday morning, and some of this morning putting it together, and Louise can hardly move after attaching the springs which were very stiff! Daniel has also enjoyed jumping on the trampoline, but wanted Matthew to "get down" so we had to explain that he needed to share it...
Matthew has also enjoyed using the new turtle sandpit which arrived this afternoon.
