Wobbly tooth
Matthew stayed overnight with his Grandma and Grandad last night, and I called in this morning to drop off his coat on my way to work. When I came in, Matthew was very excited and couldnt wait to tell me that hes got a wobbly bottom front tooth, so it looks like our first visit from the tooth fairy will be imminent!
Matthew is quite early losing his first tooth, as hes not quite five yet and his school friends Isaac and Ethan (both already five) havent lost any teeth. The NHS website suggests children lose their first teeth at the age of five or six. I do have a vague memory of putting my own baby teeth under the pillow in exchange for a 20p piece per tooth. I guess that the exchange rate will have gone up since then, though!
