Paddington Bear
Paddington Bear
We took Matthew to see the Paddington Bear film on Saturday at the cinema. He was a bit frightened beforehand, as he had heard that it had been directed by the same person as Harry Potter, and hes scared of Harry Potter, so I had to point out that the storyline isnt likely to be the same!
Matthew enjoyed the film, and managed to eat almost a whole container of popcorn himself, so I was surprised he didnt feel ill afterwards - especially as we also had a Chinese takeaway (he wasnt sure if he liked Chinese food, but he enjoyed his sweet and sour chicken). There was actually a slightly sinister character in the film who I didnt remember from the Paddington Bear books, but Matthew didnt find it scary.
Matthew is playing the part of a king in the School nativity play this year, along with his friends Isaac and Ethan (both of whom are in year 2). Louise has bought him a costume for the occasion, so were hoping that nerves dont get the better of him and hes able to perform.
This evening, Matthew was writing Christmas cards for his friends in school. Louise had written a list of everyone in his class, and when we got to one girls name Matthew said he wasnt writing her a card because he didnt like her. When we asked him why, he told us that she has a runny nose!
