Matthew has started to enjoy reading on his own. We started reading a Cosmic Colin book with him, which Auntie Hilary bought him for Christmas, and he ended up finishing it on his own. Im not sure how much he understood but he said that he really enjoyed it. Its the first time hes read a book mainly composed of text rather than a picture book too.
Louise has now bought him another Cosmic Colin book, and also a Secret Seven book (which Louise and I both used to enjoy as children), and were currently reading him the Secret Seven book at bedtime.
