Week 29
Week 29
Week 29:
- This week our sweet little guy is the size of a squash! (a pretty big squash if you ask me!) He is 17 inches tall and almost 3 whole pounds. I remember how much I loved him when he was just a few ounces, and now I cant even explain how excited we are to meet him now that we could hold him in our arms.
- Friday, we spent the evening at Kelli and Keltons house because Brandon, Kiley, and the kids are here. Kason and I went to Pancho and Leftys together for dinner and he even let me get a fried ice cream to share with him... I think he even managed to get a few bites! Then we went and stayed pretty late hanging out with everyone as they got everything ready for my baby shower tomorrow! I am so excited! I am a little sad because my mom and sister and Chianne wont be there. My dad, mom, and Natilyn took a quick little vacation to Nashville for the weekend and so they wont be here for my one in St. George tomorrow.
- Saturday, August 10th, we slept in a little and then I got ready to go to the baby shower which was at Kellis house and Kason went to help the boys at his grandpas house as they were fixing his roof. The baby shower was so fun! Lots of people came and the decorations were so adorable! Kelli, Kiley, and Sydney worked so hard and I am so grateful for all that they did to make it so perfect! They had blue punch and cute blue decorations. The food was yummy and lots of people came and brought diapers for the diaper raffle. We got lots of cute outfits and blankets for little Wrekker and we cant leave out the most important gift.... I GOT A PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM DIAPER BAG! I know, I am SO spoiled! Why anyone needs a designer diaper bag is beyond me..... until you have one.... and then you get it :) ha ha ha it is from basically everyone on Kellis side of the family and it is orange and grey and just the one I wanted! Now I can finish my hospital bag packing and we can REALLY say we are ready! After the shower, we wanted to go to dinner because it was Keltons Birthday. The boys were still at Grandpas working and it had turned into a MUCH bigger project than anyone had anticipated... we had a few grumpy husbands and we were all starving and ready to go to dinner! We went to outback and had such a good time with everyone. After dinner we went back to the Prisbreys and played ticket to ride with them. We love that game. I love that we play games as a family together, I think that is one of my favorite things about the Prisbreys. (for my cute mom who is reading this... you are not a failure ha ha ha we have tons of fun things we do as a family too, this is just theirs!) I dont know how those children stay asleep because we all laugh so hard!
- Monday, was our first day back to school with children. Kindergarten doesnt start until Thursday, but today, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we are testing kindergartners all day and so it still felt like a real week of school. I turned in my Drs note and so I get to sport around flip flops all day.. I am going to milk this one as long as I can! I am loving every second of it!
- Tuesday night my mom and dad stopped by our house and told us all about their fun vacation and gave us our souvenirs! They brought Wrekker a cute onesie, Kason a very handsome shirt, and a really cute coral pink maxi skirt for me! We are so grateful they thought of us and love our new gear! It was fun to have them over and visit with them.
- Wednesday, my mom and Natilyn surprised me in my classroom for lunch and ate in here with me. That was nice! I didnt get too long of a break but it was fun to visit with them while we could! Wednesday night I had back to school night and so I was all nervous to meet my parents and have to present for them. It went really well! Kason had his last night of bowling and so I was sad I couldnt go and watch him get his award. His team came in 3rd place overall! I was so impressed! He never ceases to amaze me!
- Thursday, was well... awful! It was the first day of school. I got up and have been in a good habit of reading my scriptures after making lunches and Kason leaves and got all ready for school. I even got here 30 minutes early. I just forgot how hard new kindergartners were. I was ready to up and leave at 10:00. I really thought these crazy kids were going to put me into labor! At the end of the day I just cried! Kason was so sweet and took care of me all night. He took me to Durangos for dinner and then tickled my back all night. I swear something different happened that day though because I have felt so different ever since. I really think that Wrekker has turned straight up and down as opposed to being sideways in my tummy because I feel so much pressure! I can feel how hard my belly is going up and down as opposed to sideways too. I wonder if he is feet first and will still be moving a lot or if he is head first and will stay that way until he comes?!
