Pingw
Matthew was delighted to come home from school with Pingw last night - the school stuffed toy (complete with bright pink wheeled suitcase!). Hes wanted to borrow Pingw for a while, and was upset last year when his friends Isaac and Ethan got to take him home and Matthew didnt. Pingw has had an action packed couple of days and will be returning to school tomorrow, where Matthew will have to tell the class about their adventures.
During his time with us, Pingw has played with Matthew and Daniel, watched television, gone to bed with Matthew, eaten breakfast, helped Matthew open the advent calendar, come with me to work today (unfortunately Matthew couldnt come because he was in school), and come with all of us to watch the village Christmas lights being switched on for the first time.
Santa put in an appearance at the lighting up ceremony, but Matthew was too shy to speak to him and I had to walk around with him to avoid Santa from approaching! Once again, the switch-on was followed by an excellent fireworks display which we were able to watch in the warm from our house.
