Matthew has expressed his first musical preference outside of home today, telling us this evening that he liked Bob Marley. Having never discussed Bob Marley with Matthew (to my knowledge) and, as neither Louise or I own any of his music, we wondered where this had come from. It turns out that Pingu, the school toy that Matthew brought home back in December, has gone to Jamaica with another childs grandmother, and so they have taken the opportunity to learn about Jamaica in the class. They seem to have been listening to a Bob Marley CD, as Matthew said he liked the first song ("Everythings Gonna Be Alright") and when Louise asked him if he liked a different track she found online, he said "not that one, thats number six"!
