Chaeyeon chooses IOI over DIA for Dream Concert

Chaeyeon chooses IOI over DIA for Dream Concert

Article: [Exclusive] Jung Chaeyeon chooses IOI over DIA for Dream Concert

Source: Star News via Nate

1. [+134, -3] Can a group of DIAs level even get into Dream Concert?

2. [+111, -0] It was the only right solution, dont try to media play with it

3. [+93, -2] Of course Kwang Soo makes his decision after testing the public for our reactions ??

4. [+14, -0] Over 80% of the current groups listed for Dream Concert would never have even gotten in if this was the old Dream Concert. It was a concert meant only for the top artists of the time but now its nothing more than another music show.

5. [+7, -0] This girl gets so much media play all on her own...

6. [+6, -0] Dream Concert was never a concert for rookies in the first place...

7. [+4, -0] Looks like Dream Concert is no different from Music Bank these days, I thought you actually had to have a huge fandom to get to perform there

8. [+4, -0] Why is Dream Concert letting everyone perform?

1. [+1,467, -52] Please leave Chaeyeon alone already. Cant even imagine how much emotional suffering shes probably going through because of her stupid CEO.

2. [+899, -40] Chaeyeon-ah, dont struggle too hard

3. [+861, -62] The power of netizens. If netizens hadnt shared their opinions in the comments, it wouldve been harder for Chaeyeon but netizens are directing the hate to Kwang Soo and helping Chaeyeon and IOIs image in the process~!!

4. [+578, -32] Chaeyeon, fighting!

5. [+563, -46] The survival of DIA is left in Chaeyeons hands now and I think Kwang Soo should be more considerate of her! This was a good decision on their behalf though

Big Bang cancels anticipated guerrilla concert

Big Bang cancels anticipated guerrilla concert

Article: Why Big Bangs guerrilla concert cancellation is so disappointing

Source: Sports Seoul via Naver

1. [+3,149, -85] Can Korean fans please get a concert thats meant for just us? Cant we get a nationwide tour or some fan meets? I know that theyre too big for tours and stuff but isnt it about time in their careers that they focus on their fans on smaller stages too?

2. [+2,504, -55] Please think of the Korean fans ?????

3. [+2,391, -138] YG has to be insane. Theyre the ones who linked the news of the guerrilla concert on their official Twitter, why are they saying theyre canceling it because it was leaked? Do they think us fans are fools? Everyone knows that OSEN articles = official YG articles so why lie about something they never even planned on doing? Please let Big Bang go from your company.

4. [+1,916, -79] Ridiculous that YGs doing this when theyre reliant on Big Bangs income

5. [+1,896, -120] I doubt YG had any intention of going through with it, theyre just acting like they had to cancel it...

6. [+357, -5] Psy pulled off his guerrilla concert just fine with 100,000 people at the city hall square

7. [+367, -10] Once they leave for the army, we wont be able to see them for such a long time. Would it kill YG to let them promote in Korea and do a few fan meets? For all the time theyre spending overseas instead ??? I know that they make so much more money over there but its the Korean fans and their success in Korea that brought them to this point in their career. Its unfair that were getting the short end of the stick because they make less money here.

8. [+300, -5] Please be more considerate of the Korean VIPs, this is so frustrating

IOI to conclude album promos at Dream Concert and split into units before January disbandment

IOI to conclude album promos at Dream Concert and split into units before January disbandment

Article: IOI to conclude album promos at Dream Concert... group is over in January

Source: TV Report via Naver

1. [+924, -35] Just more exhausting for the kids...

2. [+923, -63] All they ever talk about is how this group is ending or over, theres no way thats good morale for them

3. [+570, -45] Its too short ??

4. [+493, -62] Isnt this too short ??? lets do one more year!!

5. [+380, -42] I wish time would slow down

6. [+114, -12] The way I see it, I dont think agencies are too fond of IOI promos. They probably want to debut them in their own groups while their popularity is fresh... but instead theyre tied to IOI and they probably know that their popularity wont be at its peak like it is now by the time IOI is done. Thats why they keep putting out articles talking about how IOI is concluding this and that.

7. [+92, -9] I dont think any of the Produce 101 members will have that big of an impact once they go back to their own groups. CLC seemed like they were getting the Kwon Eunbin effect but their song fell off the charts right away and I doubt DIA will achieve any more results just for having Jung Chaeyeon back.

8. [+74, -8] Well Im sure each agency wants to take back their trainees asap since they need to start building a future with them. Its the agencies who want IOI to disband fast.

Article: IOI Im Nayoung and Joo Kyulkyung to promote with Pledis on June 25th "During IOI hiatus"

Source: Herald Pop via Naver

1. [+3,606, -221] Is it really that hard for agencies to just wait a year? Theyre going to exhaust these kids

2. [+2,230, -106] Its only a one time special guest promo, dont make it seem controversial

3. [+1,343, -175] I guess theyre all going back to their agencies now that group promos are over ??? fighting to both!

4. [+860, -132] I guess this is how it is. Please work hard for IOI too.

5. [+291, -15] Its basically a fan service promo while theyre taking a break from IOI, I think thats understandable

6. [+196, -9] After Dream Concert, IOI is going to split into units. The members who arent promoting in units at the time are going to work with their agencies. And besides, these two are just performing at their own agencys concert as a one time thing.

7. [+183, -14] Dont be mad at them, its just a one time performance~~~

Article: DIA reps, "Chaeyeon joins DIA, IOI events + team promos = June plans"

Source: OSEN via Daum

1. [+163, -4] Jung Chaeyeon is only popular for her IOI fame, shes just your average idol without them...

2. [+127, -3] Talk about shooting yourself in the foot

3. [+107, -2] Dont care anymore... I support IOI, dont care about DIA

4. [+35, -0] Did they not hear that IOI fans would be boycotting them if they went through with this plan?

5. [+34, -1] Kwang Soo-ya, I hope you realize that Jung Chaeyeon without IOI is nothing

6. [+29, -0] This will 100% come back to bite them

7. [+24, -2] I wish the best for her but that also means its the best for Kwang Soo, which I hate... how ironic.

8. [+22, -0] SISTAR, Red Velvet, EXID, etc are all coming back in June. Chaeyeon is better off doing unit promos with IOI and getting more popularity... no point at all in promoting with DIA, its just going to complicate things. Kwang Soos the worst.

KJUG Free Summer Concert Series Scotty McCreery

KJUG Free Summer Concert Series Scotty McCreery

I havent watched American Idol for a few years now, but Ive managed to stay in the "know" of whos who on the show. To be perfectly honest, Im in a weird rap/rock music phase and although country is near and dear to my heart, Ive been by-passing the country stations for quite some time now.

via

When Bryan asked if I wanted to go see Scotty McCreery I was pretty meh. about it. With work and school I just couldnt muster up the get-up-and-go but he insisted. He had been stuck in the house and needed to be around adults out in public. So off we went.

It was packed. Like... Sardines in a can packed.

This is not even remotely close to the entire crowd, either. We sat with Rick in a spot he had saved from earlier in the day by the tree to the very right. Most of the time we couldnt see Scotty, even though we were close. Most of the people stood right in the front which pretty much blocked anyone else from seeing anything at all. I shot up to take a few photos and then sat right back down so others could do the same. The lady with the Sons of Anarchy shirt ended up putting her child on her husbands shoulders which blocked the view even further.

Not what I would classify as good concert-in-a-park etiquette but whatever.

Papa ended up sitting and playing with Shepherd for most of the time which seemed to be perfectly fine with both of them. Two peas in a pod, those two. Papa got extra points for helping him eat his applesauce pouch. The weather was REALLY nice that night which was great considering weve been having some cloud cover and humidity. The humidity makes our 100+ degree days impossible to deal with. I think everyone there appreciated the cooler night and tried to make the best of it. There was even a nice breeze but everyone was still sweating from being so close together.

The concert was only for an hour or so. We left a few songs before it ended so that we didnt have to deal with the crowds and could get Shepherd down at his normal bedtime. Although Im not sure it was worth all the effort, it was a nice night and I enjoyed Scotty. He had a great personality and was engaging with the crowd. He also doesnt sing every song in that super deep register of his and he busted out a few classics from Johnny Cash, Elvis and a few others that I cant remember. I was pleasantly surprised.

I did manage to take a little video. Shepherd was playing with the cane of Ricks girlfriends Moms and kept almost hitting her with it. She was very gracious about it but it made me panicky. You could tell he felt quite bad about it the first time it happened, but then did it again towards the end of the video.

Hes such a sweet boy. I adore him! All in all, Im glad Bryan encouraged us to go. We had a good time and it was nice to be out with the community!
