Week 30
Week 30
Week 30:
- Can you believe we are at WEEK 30? We basically have less than 10 weeks to go! Yikes! This week Wrekker is over 17 inches tall and almost 3.5 pounds!
- On Thursday, Kason called me and told me that he had won tickets on the radio. He is such a smarty pants he always is winning us things on the radio. This time they were tickets to the huge Motocross Races in Salt Lake City. This is the first time they have had them in Utah and it is supposedly like the Superbowl of motocross for the weekend... ha ha ha I didnt care WHAT we were doing I was just so excited to get out of town! Friday morning we got all packed up so we could leave the SECOND I got home from school! It was perfect! I always say how much fun we have together, but I mean it, we have a blast every second of the whole trip no matter what we are doing! We got to our Hotel (after peeing in each city on the way up...) and we stayed in South Jordan. They told us we were on floor 5. We went up and opened the windows and literally right outside our big window was the South Jordan temple all lit up and so beautiful! I was so tired from a crazy two days of hurdling kindergartners and so I was kind of a bum. I was surprised I stayed awake until 10. We woke up early and had breakfast and then got ready to go to the race track. Kason was so excited and that made me so excited! We had a lot of fun and we both really enjoyed watching the races! I started to get really hot and I think everyone was like what is this big pregnant lady doing here?! We were there from almost 10:30-4 and so after the last 450 race Kason took me back to the hotel. I felt guilty because there was one more race, but he was so sweet and didnt even care. One of his mission companions was coming from Idaho to meet us for dinner with his girlfriend and Kason was so excited! He hadnt seen him since he left the mission. We met Marcus and Andrea at Macaroni Grill in downtown salt lake and talked and laughed with them for a while. It was really nice to meet both of them!
- Sunday, we got the late checkout and had breakfast and soaked in the hot tub. We headed home around one and stopped and did some shopping on the way. We even ate at buffalo wild wings which was yummy! We were both so sad, we didnt want our vacation to end! We had a fun drive home (stopping in each city to pee) and then procrastinated bedtime as long as we could before Monday snuck up on us!
- Monday, Kason had a dentist appointment and afterwords he went to his grandpas to say hi. Somehow he got roped into finishing the big roof project and so I went and sat with him while him and his grandpa worked for hours on the roof. I felt bad, Kason was super sore and tired but is so sweet and self-less and worked so hard for his grandpa. I love that he is such a hard worker. He truly has the most admirable qualities that I only wish I could have!
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I had parent teacher conferences from 4-7 every night at school. It was rough to be at school 12 hours three days in a row. Somehow this big pregnant lady survived! Kason was so sweet to take care of me when I got home each night. I sure miss him when we spend that many hours apart during the day. Especially now that I feel so uncomfortable, he seems to be the only thing that makes me feel better!
