Swimming practice and new shoes
Andrew and I took Matthew and Daniel for a morning out yesterday at Gateway Holiday Park. Wed originally planned to go to the leisure centre swimming, but our the pool where Matthew has his lessons wasnt open to the public. I had intended to go further afield until a friend of Andrews recommended Gateway as somewhere with a swimming pool and childrens play area. Although quite small, it certainly proved to fit the bill and Andrew was able to take Matthew swimming to practice while I took Daniel into the play area which he thoroughly enjoyed.
The pool wasnt quite as deep as our local leisure centre but was hopefully deep enough to give Matthew some practice and confidence for his lessons. Although I spent most of my time keeping an eye on Daniel, I was able to look through the glass to the pool to see Matthew swimming too.
This morning we took Matthew and Daniel to have their feet measured. Matthews feet havent grown much (hes now 13½E) but his trainers were getting the worse for wear, so hes come home with a pair of new orange, black and silver trainers from Clarks.
