Lego exhibition
Lego exhibition
We took Matthew (and Daniel) to the "Beyond the Brick" Lego exhibition today. Matthew enjoyed himself and had fun looking round the very impressive lego structures - buildings, trains, spaceships and even a football pitch with spectators. He also had fun building his own spaceship with Lego in the play area. Even though we had a discount, the entrance fee still felt pretty steep for what was on offer, although to be fair there were also a selection of Lego related films available to view (including the Lego Movie), and workshops, neither of which we could attend because Daniel was too young.
I was also hoping they would cater for smaller children with a Duplo play area, which Daniel would have really enjoyed, but there wasnt anything there and so Daniel had to spend his time in the pushchair, especially frustrating as he couldnt touch any of the models which he really wanted to. He actually behaved well considering he couldnt do much, and did particularly enjoy watching the Lego trains going round.
At the end we went to the shop and one thing which shocked me was the price of the Star Wars and Batman Lego minifigures Matthew looked at! Needless to say, we ended up with a kit instead.
