Bristol Zoo Planes
Bristol Zoo Planes
For our last two adventures on our holiday at home we took Matthew to Bristol Zoo on Wednesday, and went to see the new Disney animated film Planes at the cinema this morning in 3D. It was the first showing of Planes, which was only released today, and so I was surprised to see the cinema almost empty - we had booked in advanced and had the best seats. Matthew enjoyed the film, especially the cameo appearances by some of the minor characters in Cars, such as the tractors.
Matthew enjoyed Bristol Zoo, although didnt want to spend too long looking at any of the animals and seemed to have more fun on the adventure playground and a large inflatable slide. We enjoyed seeing the giant tortoises and the turtles, crocodiles and lizards in the reptile house, but I was disappointed by the lack of larger animals - there were lions, but no elephants, giraffes or rhinos. The zoo currently have a dinosaur exhibition, and there were a lot of large, moving model dinosaurs scattered around the gardens which Matthew enjoyed trying to find.
It will be a shame to go back to work on Monday as Ive enjoyed going out and about over the last couple of weeks with Matthew (and Daniel).
