Off school
Matthew had his first day off school ill today. He hasnt been ill since starting in September, and we were hoping he might go for the whole school year without being off - something I never managed to achieve while in school! He woke up looking red with a rash on his face, and complained of a headache and sore throat.
His temperature seemed normal and he was his normal, lively self so we werent too concerned but Louise kept him home from school and took him to the doctor as she was concerned about the rash. The doctor thought the symptoms were very "non-specific" and that the rash wasnt anything to be worried about - it could be heat rash, after being in the sun yesterday during an unusually fine British bank holiday weekend - so he will be going back to school tomorrow if he doesnt get any worse.
