Since Louise and I went to see the Lion King musical on New Years day (without Matthew!), Matthew has taken a keen interest in the Lion King films.  We bought Matthew a toy Simba at the musical, and after initially looking through our souvenir programme with photos of the cast he wanted to watch the film.  We have all three films on DVD, and over the last few weeks Matthew has worked his way through them and has now seen them all.  He even took the original film into school and his class watched it one day during breaktime (they are allowed to watch DVDs when it rains).  For his bedtime stories this month, Matthew has brought out his Disney storybook and marked all of the Lion King stories with stickers.  Every time it has been my turn to put Matthew to bed, Ive had to read one to him.
