Matthews radio (complete with hands)

Matthew went to Breakfast Club at school yesterday.  As Louise works nights on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night, getting Matthew to school at the end of the week means that she has to wait longer to go back to bed.  Breakfast Club allows working parents to drop off children from 8am onwards where they are given breakfast, and means that Louise can get back to sleep earlier, but Matthew hasnt wanted to go in the past.  Several of his classmates are now going, and Matthew wanted to go yesterday.  We werent sure how he would get on, but he seemed to enjoy it, so he can go again at the end of next week.

At Breakfast Club, Matthew had a choice of Weetabix, Rice Krispies or toast.  He was told not to choose toast, as he has bread or sandwiches later in the day, and so he chose Rice Krispies which he likes.  He sat with his classmates and drew pictures.  For some reason, Matthew and his classmates have developed a liking for drawing radios (the old fashioned type!) and he has now come home with a couple of pictures of colourful radios.

Matthew has learned a new word this week - "embarrassed" - but isnt yet using it correctly.  He told Louise and I that we had "embarrassed" him, but it turns out that he thinks it means "frightened"!
