Matthew received his last book from the Childrens Traffic Club last week, the sixth in a series of activity books about road safety for pre-school children which he has been sent in the post for the last couple of years. Matthew has thoroughly enjoyed looking at the pictures and going through the activities, although Louise isnt convinced it has helped him to act more safely around traffic so far.
He certainly knows the theory - he is familiar with the phrase "stop, look, listen", but Louise says that he still does sometimes run out in front of the traffic on his way to school. He doesnt usually run onto the road as often as some other children, so I am sure it is having some positive effect, and if nothing else it has been a fun set of activities for us to do together (we spent nearly an hour today on the last book - Matthew particularly enjoys using the stickers).
